Something Is Bugging Me

Bugs are Bugging me~~~

I planted pansies in my flower beds a few weeks ago & couldn't wait to see them grow & bloom. But then came ALL THAT RAIN!! I was so sure they would all drown or get washed away...BUT...they survived the rain

They may not survive the bugs...

Every bloom that comes out is getting eaten up by bugs!

I have lots of buds~~~

And lots of bugs~~

Tomorrow will be spent trying to get rid of them.

Pansies are my favorite cute little cold weather flowers!

Bugs~~I am not to fond of~~

Yardware Hardware and A Taste of Spring!

I don't really know what happened. I feel a little cheated really. Winter is not my favorite season but I feel like I was suppose to get something and it never showed up!! But...it is what it is and now I am so looking forward to Spring!!
I took a walk around the yard today and these are the pretty things I found~~~

First~
The "hardware" I have in my yard. The ornamental elements that I have in my flower beds that I plant around. Or as I affectionately refer to it as my "Yardware~Hardware"

Bell hanging on a post at my front door.
We never use it but I thought it looked cute!!

Fleur de Lis yard decoration. I move this around but for right now it is in front of my Mardi Gras yard flag.

My bird trellis which started out green but got spray painted black last spring. I'm liking the black better. It just kinda disappeared in the flower bed when it was green.

My pelican weather vane. Love this one!!

And my favorite is my Blessed Mother Statue.

And here are a few of the flowers that are blooming right now!!

Pansies

Lots of Azalea buds

And lots of Azaleas

Day Lillies are coming back

Banana Magnolias. Love the smell!!

Camillias

Vine growing on a wrought iron trellis

Love the color of new leaves on my Indian Hawthorn

Mexican Heather

Can't wait to get in the yard and clean up flower beds and plant more flowers!!

What's growing in your yard?

Camellias

When I looked out into my backyard this morning I noticed that my Camellias were blooming!! Camellias are one of my favorite flowers!

They are pretty as buds~~~

Beautiful in full bloom~~

and I even love the way they look when they fall to the ground.

I have 4 Camellias planted in my yard right now but would love to have lots more!!

Having such a mild winter is really making me think ahead to Spring! Can't wait to get out in the yard and plant more shrubs and flowers.

My goal for this year is to plant a rose garden!

But today is a dreary rainy day so I'll just admire my Camellias from the kitchen window!

End of Summer Flowers

It's been a very HOT Summer here! We went for weeks with no rain and now we are getting very strong rainstorms about every other day. But even with this crazy weather, I still have some beautiful flowers growing in my yard.
Here are a few close up shots (I am not a great photographer so sorry for things not being in focus or even centered on the screen).

I have 3 Crape Myrtle trees in my yard. 1 of them blooms every year--2 of them after three years of tender loving care had never bloomed --- until this year!!

Busy visitor in my flower bed today!

A surprise bloom from an Azalea bush planted earlier this year!

What's growing in my yard...

Well here we are...the longest day of the year! And we finally had a rain storm!! We really needed some rain and today we got it. My flowers were pelted with raindrops today but when the sun comes out tomorrow they will be brighter than ever. So here is what is growing in my yard...
